Your imagery is either building your business or costing you money. Most brands don't know which.
Insight Image Studio combines 20 years of consumer data science with commercial photography to create visuals that don't just look right — they perform.
Beautiful photography isn't the goal. Effective photography is.
Most product brands invest in photography the same way — find someone talented, get beautiful images, put them online. Then wonder why conversion rates stay flat, why a competitor's less polished brand seems to outsell them, why customers return products that look great in photos.
The problem usually isn't the quality of the images. It's that nobody asked the right questions before the shoot. Who is the customer? What do they need to feel to buy? What job does this image actually need to do?
Those are business questions. Most photographers don't ask them. We do. And we have a framework for answering them.

What 20 years of consumer analytics changes about how we shoot
Before founding Insight Image Studio, I spent two decades as a data scientist in consumer analytics at a Fortune 100 company. I built models that predicted what consumers would buy, return, ignore, and covet — and why.
That background doesn't mean I'm running reports for clients. It means I ask questions most photographers never think to ask. Who is your customer and what do they need to feel to buy? What job does this specific image need to do? Where does your imagery show up in your customer's decision-making process — and what does it need to communicate in the two seconds before they scroll past?
I can tell you why a creative decision will work in business terms, not just aesthetic ones. I can tell you how to A/B test your new images against your old ones and what to measure. I can tell you which of your current images is probably working against you and why.
You get the strategic thinking. We handle everything else.
What we create
We specialize in product photography that commands attention and drives action. Every image is meticulously crafted, professionally retouched, and delivered in formats optimized for your needs.
Craft Beverage Photography
Spirits, beer, wine, and cocktail imagery that sells the experience, not just the bottle. We understand the Trust Job, the Identity Job, and the Utility Job your beverage imagery needs to do — and we build every shoot around all three.
E-Commerce Product Photography
Packshots and hero images engineered for conversion. We apply pre-attentive processing research to every composition decision, because your customer decides in two seconds whether to keep scrolling.
Brand & Lifestyle Integration
Your product in the context your customer actually inhabits. Not staged. Not generic. Photographed to close the aspirational gap between what you're selling and who's buying.
How We Work
The Visual Audit
Before we talk about photography, we look at what you have. We review your current imagery in the context of your sales environment — your product pages, your listings, your social content — and identify specifically what's working, what isn't, and why. Most clients find this conversation alone changes how they think about their imagery.
Strategy & Creative Direction
We translate the audit findings into a shoot plan. Every creative decision — lighting, composition, background, context — is made with a specific business outcome in mind. You'll know before we shoot exactly what each image needs to accomplish and why we're making the choices we're making.
The Shoot
Executed in a controlled studio environment with tethered capture, meaning you see every image in real time as we shoot. No surprises on delivery day. Remote clients get a live web gallery to review and direct from anywhere.
Delivery & Performance Guidance
Final images delivered in every format you need. Plus — because we're not just photographers — we'll tell you how to deploy them for maximum impact, how to A/B test your new imagery against your old, and what metrics to watch. You get the images and the roadmap for using them.
