Now in its 16th year, the National Scouting Combine brings draft-eligible college football players from across the country to Naples for multiple days of verified testing, position work, padded practices and evaluation—culminating in the nationally recognized NSC College All-Star Game.
Which means the players in your viewfinder aren't amateurs killing an afternoon. They're competing to be seen — and you're on the field for the moment they get their shot.
Kevin Boller
Founder, Insight Image Studio
Kevin Boller has been behind a camera since age twelve and spent the last two decades turning that obsession into a profession. A commercial and luxury product photographer, his work has appeared in 30+ Glamour and fashion magazine editions worldwide and has hung fine art photographs in galleries across three countries. His sideline work shapes this workshop directly: Kevin actively contributes media-ready images for Florida SouthWestern State College athletics — basketball, baseball, softball, and volleyball — and has photographed the National Scouting Combine.
Before photography became the full-time pursuit, Kevin spent nineteen years as a data scientist, and it shows in how he teaches — he breaks a chaotic arena environment down into repeatable, testable settings rather than guesswork. He serves as a Director for the Florida Professional Photographers and the Florida School of Photography, has taught a Sports Photography workshop at Florida Southwestern State College, and leads monthly workshops for Lee County Parks and Recreation. He is also the photography instructor for the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center in Fort Myers. Hand him a hard venue and he'll hand you the exact recipe to shoot it well.

Questions
Advanced amateurs and semi-professionals who already know their camera basics and want specific on field tactics. If you shoot in Manual mode and understand aperture, shutter, and ISO — you're ready.
A DSLR or mirrorless capable of burst shooting. A 70–200mm f/2.8 is the workhorse; a 300mm or 400mm (or 100–400mm) really helps on a full outdoor field — we'll cover alternatives in the classroom. No tripods on the field. No flash.
Your field-level access lets you shoot the All-Star Game from the field. The Combine keeps it relaxed: stay off the field of play and out of the bench area — otherwise you work the sidelines and end zones like the pros.
Spots are filled in registration order, subject to a brief gear/experience review. We keep the group small intentionally — this is hands-on, not a crowd.
Once you've had a chance to decompress, we regroup on a call to review the experience and talk through your images. You'll submit your best ~20 curated shots to Kevin, who selects and delivers a collection to the National Scouting Combine for use as part of its event coverage — within 4 days.
Full refund if cancelled more than 14 days before the event. No refunds within 14 days, but your spot may be transferred to another qualified photographer.
