A one-day intensive for advanced photographers. Two hours of arena-specific classroom instruction, then full media access with official IFL media credentials at Kia Center.
You already know how to shoot. This workshop gives you what you can't Google: arena-specific tactics, live game pressure, and an official IFL media pass that puts you on the sideline of a professional game.
Led by Kevin Boller — sports photographer, Director of the Florida School of Photography, and veteran sideline shooter for Florida SouthWestern State College across four sports.

IFL field layout, 8-on-8 pace implications, and how indoor football changes everything about your shot.
Tame the 44-million-pixel scoreboard. LED banding solutions, fixed Kelvin white balance, and venue-specific shooting zones.
Shutter speeds, f/2.8 aperture strategy, ISO 1600–6400 workflow, Manual + Auto ISO, AF-C continuous, and back-button focus.
Optimal field positions, shooting where the pros shoot, anticipation strategies, and how to reposition during live play.
IFL credential protocols, restricted zones, no-flash rules, dark clothing, and what gets your credential revoked.
Tonight's timeline, rapid-fire reminders, and your questions answered before you hit the floor.
Followed by full-game media access with official media credentials
Advanced amateurs and semi-professionals who already know their camera basics and want arena-specific tactics. If you shoot in Manual mode and understand aperture, shutter, and ISO — you're ready.
A DSLR or mirrorless camera capable of burst shooting. A 70–200mm f/2.8 is a good lens, fast lens are best, and longer lens like a 300 or 400 might be great, but we'll discuss alternatives during the classroom session. No tripods on the field. No Flash!
Your official single-game IFL media credential grants you full media access for the full game at Kia Center. You'll shoot from the same positions as professional media — designated sideline and media areas.
Spots are filled in registration order, subject to a brief gear/experience review. We keep the group small intentionally — this is hands-on, not a crowd.
Once you've had a chance to decompress, we'll regroup on a Microsoft Teams call to review the experience, answer lingering questions, and talk through your images. You'll also submit your best 200+ shots to Kevin, who curates a final collection delivered to the Orlando Pirates within 4 days. Your work goes directly to a professional sports organization.
Full refund if cancelled more than 14 days before the event. No refunds within 14 days, but your spot may be transferred to another qualified photographer.
